Sec 4 Chemistry-Metals

dear sec 4s, below are some useful information for the chapt on Metals we have just completed or is coming to an end. it is good to read up some extension material although it may be stated in the syllabus, as pure chem are getting more applicative these years. when i mean extension material, i don't mean irrelevant to what you have learnt, but rather they are related or based on some of the principles or reactions you learnt in class, so they make good subjects for setting application questions.

about a month has passed. i hope you have begun to get used to me. for me, it is still ok. :) like i said in the 1st lesson, we work on a basis of respect since you are already the senior students in the school (though i can see that some of you are still behaving like primary school kids horz). i will do my best to help you tackle your end of year important O level exams, but i need your cooperation to achieve that. as for lessons, feel free to give me constructive feedback.

learning is lifelong, so ENJOY IT!! i enjoyed every bit of my learning in school, and in AHS especially. and i hope you do too!! :)

p.s: by the way, if it is not clear yet, one of the ways of rust prevention covered is called galvanising. in galvanising, zinc metal is coated on the iron/steel to prevent rusting.
